The male Satin Bowerbird had purloined half an apple (going bad) out of the compost. His problem was being surrounded by four females who also wanted some apple. One would dart in when the male chased a feamal eaway but he would immediately turn to guard his apple. It was comical and this behaviour is seen all over the world of animals and humans.
