Powerful owl and young

The Owls are back in Coffs Botanic Gardens. It’s wonderful to see these top predators back, especially as their conservation status in NSW is Vulnerable. Big birds up to 60 cm tall.
Greater Gliders are a favourite food. They nest in hollows of large eucalypts at least 150 years old (so their housing stock is increasingly limited).
