A second brood for many birds

From our bed we can see Sacred Kingfishers flying to and from their young, safe inside a termite nest.

In our small ‘rainforest’ garden, a juvenile Koel is continually calling (with a soft monotone) for food from Noisy Friarbirds, a quarter of their size.

As I type this, Buff-banded Rails are calling outside my window, sunlight is slipping over the garden.
