Showing at Coffs Harbour’s Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM)
The three screens in the exhibition show 20 one-minute videos on a loop. Each has a theme. One theme is Cognition which musters videos like ‘Poisons’ and ‘A history of capitalism in Sixty seconds’. Imagination includes videos like ‘Two Winter Haiku’ and ‘Arguing with Hafez’. The third, Engagement, shows videos such as, ‘Performance ~ swimming through mud’, and ‘Walden Pond 1845/1990’.
Examples from all three follow – along with three videos not included in the exhibition. Most celebrate the beauty of the reclaimed wetland here in Gumbaynggirr Country, where I undertake regular bird surveys with my partner Wyn.
