The Frog Downstairs, 8.5%; Belgium beer brewed in Valla. A Wyn birthday present, and after she started the kit (my brewing was never with a kit and last seen in Bristol, c1978) we had a bottling party and now must wait for a couple of months.

Antarctic beer
This special beer – called Pole-axed – is due to be shipped 10,000 miles from Southampton to Antarctica this week for engineers and scientists. The ale, which has a secret recipe, is currently being put into plastic bottles, which will then have the air squeezed out of them. The process allows the liquid to expand when frozen and prevents the vital gas from escaping.
