Another new bird in the garden, 12 Dec

Pacific Bazas are a medium-sized, long-tailed hawk with a small crest. They are sometimes seen flying overhead, but this one landed for breakfast.

Eating one of the common Cicadas, the Greengrocer. These last few days they have been creating waves of sound, like Phil Spector at Gold Star Studios.
