The Necks played in the revamped Memorial Hall,
the music and air-conditioning were a wonder.
They are looking old, have been together for 40 years.
At the end of each set when they took a bow
they looked so miserable, but Lloyd Swanton, the bass player,
at the close, says it was a great gig they loved playing
– sold out – standing ovation. They worked so hard.
We buy Berlin, must have about 14 of their CDs by now,
saw them in Sydney numerous times,
but not since we left the city.
I reminded Lloyd of the Opera House gig
when they were interrupted then played angry.
I met David’s friend, a hypnotherapist, asked if
