NSW Society of Women Writers centenary anthology

Wyn was runner up

Wyn won second prize in the NSW Society of Women Writers centenary anthology – the oldest literary organisation in Australia. Her short story ‘Scone Making’ is terrific.

The event took place in Parliament House, 10 September.

Wyn with the cake (delicious)

The speeches were all excellent. As the Premier, Chris Minns, ended his speech – a good one on the importance of women’s voices, I yelled out, (couldn’t help myself):  ‘Great news on the Great Koala National Park’, he grinned and half the audience applauded. The other half were nonplussed.

The Premier, Chris Minns with with Jodie Harrison, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault – and the c’tee

We were also in Sydney for Bron’s family events and I was in the studio with John, both of us crook unfortunately, but still got lots done.
