A photo and a Poem, Mountains, 9 Feb

Griffith Lookout, Gumbaynggirr Country

Receding mountains are a theatrical backdrop, colour
of algae. Coastal humidity has left, why am I thinking
of parched barren ground hitting 120 degrees?

Our dust is mostly organic, moon dust smells of fireworks
and causes hay fever. Its pulverised rock, ‘regolith’
is under constant cosmic onslaught called ‘gardening’.
